Dickens House

Location: Wiltshire
Size: 280 sq. ft.
Sector: Residential

In a large family house in the Wiltshire countryside, we painted the ceiling pink and the walls a deep, rich red and got away with it. For context, the rest of the house oozes an effortless rock ‘n’ roll style, like you might turn a corner and find a 70s Keith Richards.

The clients weren’t sure what to do with this space, but they knew it needed a purpose and it needed to feel like it belonged. So, we went bold.

Tiptoeing around kitsch and dipping a toe into decadence, we turned it into a bold, atmospheric movie lounge that holds its own in the house. Deep colors, moody lighting, statement art, now, it’s a space that feels just as effortlessly cool as the rest of the home
